Kansas City, Kansas Wins Google High Speed Broadband

Seal of Kansas.jpg
Congrats to the folks just up the street. Google has announced that my neighbors to the north have won the competition to receive Google high speed Internet.
The company had announced last year a competition to bring a special form of high speed Internet to a select winning city and it seems after all the hoopla, Kansas City, KS has won.
The new service is supposed to provide download speeds over 100 times faster than current broadband connections (wow!).
No word on when it will be available or what the price will be. My biggest hope is that once it is installed & running it will makes its way a few miles south quickly. I'm drooling over speeds like that!
