It's no fun living in Tornado Alley. Especially this year where we've seen way too many severe storms & tornados.
To help protect my family & to keep me informed, I've found a great app in the iPad App store called Wx Alert USA. This nifty app which is less the $5 will locate your position, provide weather updates & alerts. It will even sound an alarm when the app is not running that indicates severe weather. You can even access the National Weather Service radio broadcasts.
All this for less than $5!
The alarm is unique & loud enough to wake you if you are asleep. I'm now sleeping with the iPad on my nightstand... just in case.
I'm impressed with this app & feel it definitely bears consideration if you are concerned about local weather conditions.
