Spotify Comes to the US... and I've Got an Invite

Well, it pays to have friends (Thanks Adam!) because as I was recently having a discussion about the cloud with some other geeks, I was offered an invite to the new service... but only if i would use it. Use it? I'm a music fanatic and couldn't wait to try it out.
This is really a beautiful service in many ways. As a bonafide music lover, i have a huge collection of over 60GB of music. While I'm sure that many of you have much more than that, compared to the average, 60GB is a pretty big database. However, even with that much music, there are tons of songs I don't own. Not only that, but there are songs I like, but really don't want to purchase and store.
Spotify eliminates all that by bringing any song by an artist to your fingertips. I love being able to just type an artist into the search bar and have tons of music by the selected artist show up in the "Track window". Now I've only been using the service for a few days and I haven't done tons of searches yet, but the only artist that I've found so far that doesn't have a major amount of music listed is The Beatles.
i specifically searched for "The Beatles" because they've been a holdout in the world of digital downloads for years now. They just recently agreed to a deal with Apple to put their entire catalog on iTunes so I didn't think they would be well represented on Spotify... and they weren't I'm sure there are other artists like that, but in my few days of use, I've yet to find them.
Overall the service works well. Now I've got a great connection at both my office and my home so that my account for some of my success, but I'm very impressed so far. The service also scans your music collection and lets you play it through the Spotify software as well.
So I'm giving Spotify my recommendation with the one caveat being I've only used the service for a few days. However, i think if you use it, you'll be as impressed as I am.
