Google Drive Reportedly Launching Next Week

Google Drive.jpg
For a while now, there have been rumors of Google offering a storage option in The Cloud. While it's been rumored for at least a couple of years, it now looks as if it is really going to happen!
The service, which should be named Google Drive, is due to launch in the middle of next week. It is expected to have integration with both Windows & Mac as well as Android and iOS and offer 5 GB of storage. This is a pretty good size for free since DropBox currently offers users 2 GB in their free accounts.
It sounds like the product will be a downloadable app which will install all the things necessary.
Look for it at http://drive.google.com
While this won't, obviously, be the first product like this, it should bring with it the tight integration we've come to expect with Google products and should interface really with the Android.
I'm excited as I'm loving my Cloud storage of my music on both Google & Amazon. I also routinely backup my lectures that I"m traveling to give on my Google Docs account. With 5GB of storage, that's a lot of Keynote slide decks!
Hopefully the rumors are right on this one and Google Drive will be here before we know it. I'm betting it will be. Now if I can just get my hands on a pair of those Google Glasses...
